Silver Service- 25 Years of Excellence

Kyles Collection mark their 25th Anniversary as one of the UK's leading Jewellery brands

For a quarter of a century Kyles Collection have created some of the most beautiful jewellery in existence. A British brand, all their pieces are designed and made by hand in the UK,
yet they encapsulate a distinct Eastern flavour. Founders Nisha and Mel have overseen the business from day one and today, they remain actively involved in every aspect, from working with customers to designing bespoke pieces, to being in store to meet those who simply pop in to browse the collection. Every piece is defined by its intricacy and advanced levels of craftsmanship. Detailing is key while the materials are of the highest quality. For stones Kyles only use Swarovski Elements which are available in a rainbow of shimmering shades.

Championed by celebrities, given the royal seal of approval and worn by real brides, Kyles pieces don’t just consist of conventional jewellery sets. Their original ideas and innovation have led to the creation of pieces that set the trends for Asian jewellery in the UK, including items for grooms, children, statement creations, crowns and even exquisite designs for hijab brides. Kyles’ success lies not just in their skill for good design but in their integrity. Despite their jewellery being in demand all over the world, rather than turn to overseas production, they make all the pieces in the UK so you can be fully sure your jewellery passes Nisha and Mel’s own quality control. The family welcome you receive when you head in store is testament to their belief that people matter. Every customer is treated like a VIP whether they deal with the founders or any of their 23 skilled members of staff who are always on hand.

1991
Our story began in the spare bedroom of our house on the beautiful Isle of Bute in Scotland. We started making jewellery because it was something we enjoyed. It also gave us the flexibility to work from home while bringing up our children.

1993
In just two years we had developed our collection into a range of 50 products and started having them stocked in shops all over the UK.

1994
We showcased our handcrafted designer jewellery at the Asian Lifestyle show in Wembley which was the first ever Asian exhibition of its kind in the UK.

1996
The show was a success as it was the first time people saw our distinctive jewellery style. Fast forward two years, and we were now stocked in five main stores which led to our designs being in demand.

1997
In order to develop our success we needed to re-locate to where our customers were, so we left behind our beloved island life and moved to London, where we set up our first retail showroom in Green Street. We even employed two staff to help us run the shop and make the jewellery in a small workshop at the back of the store.

2001
By now we had diversified our range from simply selling popular jewellery, into the bridal market, and created a new collection which was showcased at a well-known bridal show.

2005
Our first award experience – Kyles Collection was highly-commended at the prestigious Thames Gateway Business Awards. This same year we moved into a larger showroom in Green Street which allowed us to have our own premise, to sell our ever- growing jewellery range with an on-site workshop. By the summer we had our first international stockist with our London-made jewellery being sold in Oslo, Sweden.

2006
Kyles has always been a family business and this year our son Rav, who was one of our designers, and is now our Marketing Manager, was invited to meet the Queen at her summer garden party at Buckingham Palace in recognition of his unique jewellery designs.

2007
The royal interest in our work continued and we were honoured that HRH Prince Andrew Duke of York, visited the showroom to see how we hand craft our jewellery.

2008
It was time to expand again so we created a second floor to our Green Street store and moved our production studio, where pieces are made to a larger premises.

2009
By now we were a household name in Asian bridal jewellery and to meet the demands we employed 18 members of staff to hand craft our pieces, from our Green Street workshop. Each member of staffed was trained specifically to make Kyles jewellery.

2010
A further expansion led to us creating some private bridal rooms in store to make a bride’s shopping experience even more special.

2012
To celebrate the close relationship with Kyles and Swarovski, we were flown out to Swarovski’s headquarters in Austria where we received grand tour of their crystal factory – it was an honour to have our work valued and recognised by them.

2013
Kyles became the catwalk sponsor for the most prestigious wedding event in the UK, The Asiana Bridal show, London. By now we also employed 25 staff all dedicated to manufacturing, as well as running the international side of Kyles Collection’s operations.

2014
There are 240 different sets with over 2,300 individual products available.

2016
Today there are four of us on the main team - our son Rav and his wife Manjna work with us, as we continue to set trends in Asian jewellery like revealing innovative new ideas for hijab brides while our designs are also stocked in the US and Canada. We also continue to welcome brides into the showroom and workshop so they can get a real appreciation for our brand and unique concept.
